Wish
Interview with
Dave Rickey |
|
 |
"We've
made a decision not to hand-make any quests for Wish that don't either
tell a story, or make a difference in the world. We feel it's better
to have a few hundred *good* quests, than a few thousand that could
just as easily have been generated by an automated system once you
strip away the labels." |
 |
"It is
amazing how each step is revealing a growing interest, and the lack of
hostility from the community is ushering in a kind friendly nature to
the foundation of our development. They are really asking for
something new, something wholesome - and we cannot disappoint
them." |
|
 |
"In the
beginning there was also a phenomenon of an A.I. which was too
curious, so curious that it tried to "find the end of the world" by
endlessly exploring it, but that has also been fixed. If only we could
fix the bugs in people's behavior that easily, our life would have been
much better, don't you think?" |
|
 |
"Although
my wife insists I'm NOT a nerd, I've always felt that being a computer
programmer doesn't make you a nerd, it's BEING a nerd that affords a
person the time it takes to become a programmer." |
 |
"With their upcoming sci-fi mmorpg, Atriarch, developer World Fusion
aims to bring something fresh and different to the persistent world
table. How so? By doing away with them tired ol' humans
comepletely and focusing on alien species, organic construction and
empire building - that's how!" |
