CRIMECRAFT: Vogster Entertainment have announced a PC “ship date” of August 25th, 2009 for their persistent world FPS, CRIMECRAFT.
Additionally, the Eastern European developers have begun Closed Beta testing with a few registered users and are accepting applications for more testers at the official CRIMECRAFT site.
I wonder if we’ll get a release date for APB at E3. CRIMECRAFT and APB seem quite similar on the surface, but APB has been around much longer. Is there room for two urban action MMOs on the market? Only time will tell. There seems to be room for 3,000 fantasy titles, so perhaps it’ll be fine.
“CrimeCraft is set in a gritty fictional city of the near future, following an ecological disaster of unprecedented scale, where the price of life is far less valuable than one’s reputation. Join thousands of players online as you learn the rules of the street, build your own gang, and do whatever it takes to survive amidst the chaos. Earn a reputation. Build a gang. Kill the competition.”
